I found my way to family-building because...
My own personal and professional experiences with family-building. What began as curiosity quickly became a calling. Watching people come together to help create families and communities is something I never take for granted. To me, it’s one of the most hopeful and magical parts of being human.
Your journeys have taught me that...
Hope has an incredible way of surviving even the hardest chapters. I’ve watched people carry it through heartbreak, failed cycles, difficult decisions, and years of uncertainty. Again and again, I’ve learned that hope, supported by science and surrounded by community, can help make the unthinkable happen.
I keep hope alive by...
Choosing to stay on the side where the light shines. I try to keep my focus on the goodness that exists, the peace available in the present moment, and the possibility that the unknown may hold something beautiful. I also lean into spirituality, which helps me feel connected, especially during the moments when I feel alone.
A moment that never gets old for me is...
Watching someone realize that grief isn’t a sign that they’re doing something wrong. In family-building, grief and hope often exist side by side, and helping people understand that grief can be an ally rather than an obstacle is a powerful moment. Grief is hope’s unexpected friend, and we often need both to move through the hardest parts of the journey.
My really good day looks like…
A late morning (which is still only 7:30 a.m. in my household), an Americano, a hot yoga class, and a museum day with my boys. The perfect ending? Everyone tucked into bed early, including me.
